How to Upload a Font to Silhouette Studio (Step-By-Step Guide)
You have a custom font on your computer and would like to use it with Silhouette Studio?
No problem! Read this short tutorial to know How to Upload a Font to Silhouette Studio and use it in your projects!
When you buy a font at FontStation you get font files (TTF & OTF) + individual letters files (PNG, SVG & PDF)
If you buy a font somewhere else, you should at least get TTF or OTF file to follow Method 1.
Method 1: Upload a font using font files
Install the font on your computer
You can use our How to install a font guide.
Open Silhouette Studio software
You can create a new project or use an existing one.
Add a text area to your canva and select the font
If the font do not show up, restart your computer once you installed your font.

Method 2: Upload a font using individual letters files
Open Silhouette Studio software
You can create a new project or use an existing one.
Click "File" > "Open" and select PNG or SVG files
If your SVG files do not look good in Silhouette Studio, please use our PNG files. Silhouette has a limited support for SVG. If you need larger PNG sizes than 2048px, please contact us.
